Tramontina Limited Editions Barazzoni 6 Quart Full-Clad Copper Exterior Covered Dutch Oven

My heart palpitates
and I sigh with pleasure when my eye catches my copper-clad Barazzoni hanging in my kitchen. Seriously. Okay, maybe I'm stretching the heart palpatation thing a bit--my heart does not really seem to be beating in my throat...But you should get the picture. I do--really--take a deep breath, and feel such pleasure, when I look at these few Barazzoni pots I have hanging on the side of a very old French cherry wood cabinet in my kitchen (thank you Command hooks).

So, obviously, the pots are beautiful. The design is called "Butterfly" and it was designed by Claudio Bellini. They feel good. They are a nice weight and the handles are soft and cool to-the-touch. The handles are on the slim side, but they still work fine for my long, thin fingers.

But do they perform? Yes, they do--perfectly. There are other pots out there that perform just as well, but these Barazzoni are much more elegant and beautiful. So, if you've got a nice high-paying, confortable job,...

I bought this as a gift thank Goodness I opened it first.
It looked like a great wedding gift. I am glad I opened the box and looked at it, what a horror... . Many places were discolored and the finish, gosh unbelievable. It was just terrible. For something at this price it should be beautiful not trash, it was even discolored at the rivets, that purple looks from over welding. Stay away from this company I guess the shipper must be okay but not the manufacturer gosh I am so glad I look ed. Perhaps at this s price the shipper should have looked. I am very unhappy, sending it back and its very close to wedding date. From now on I will stick to that M company from France. Their products are always so beautiful.

Stansport Gourmet Castware 8 Quart Dutch Oven, Red

Great Size.
This is a really nice dutch oven. The lid fits nice and tight. I did return it though, because the inside is not enameled. If you do not mind the inside being un-enameled cast iron then this is a great pan for the price.

Staub Round Cocotte - 5.5Qt - Dark Blue

We have a new favorite at our house
We have baked bread in this, slow cooked in it, reheated with it. We haven't had a bad meal yet!

It is so much easier to clean than our Le Creuset stuff.

Old Mountain Pre Seasoned 10111 4 1/2 Quart Dutch Oven with Dome Lid and Spiral Bail Handle

I love this!
I ordered this Dutch Oven from Amazon, as I found the exact same one on line for double the price. I have used it to make no-knead bread, soups, roasts, and it is that heavy "grandma" pan that makes everything cook well.

I will use this for years. It cooks great when you put it in the oven, the handle is substantial.

I store this pan with a paper towel between the lid and the pot, recommended by the manufacturer, to prevent it from gathering rust. Keep it dry, and don't put it in the dishwasher, to preserve the seasoning and taste.

Non-Stick Large Fish Grilling Basket

Raichlen grill basket
The unit arrived on time but had TWO structural defects.

1. The upper basket did NOT RELIABLY click into the clasp of the lower basket. I had to use a twist of stainless steel wire to hold them closed.

2. The handle did engage with the lower basket but was poorly designed. Had it been 3/8ths inch longer, it would have solidly clasped the basket. As it was, I used my heat-proof gloves to pick up the basket without the handle.

The recipe for salmon from his grilling book was excellent, however.

Proctor Silex 52025 Aluminum Nonstick 5 Quart Covered Dutch Oven, Red

You get what you pay for
It's good enough for oven use, which is what I bought it for but I would not fix anything delicate on the stove top with it. Not very thick. Would not stand very high heat. Maybe boiling potatoes or pasta using plenty of water.

Staub 4-1/4-Quart Coq Au Vin Cocotte, Cherry

great pot
This cast iron french oven works wonderful in cooking moist and tender beef stews and other food.
Very heavy and excellently made, the Coq Au Vin came with a regular knob in addition to the decorative rooster knob.
The color is beautiful, and the rooster knob is well made and makes the pot so French !
