Specific shape type
This is a narrow width saucepan similar to the shape of a stockpot, retaining steam and evaporation. Typically saucepans have more width than this one. Make sure you know which you need. While this pan is well made be sure to note the interior cooking surface is unpolished.
My pan arrived with a small dent in the bottom corner so I don't know what type of quality inspection this company might have. The package was sent with other items and all boxing was in fine condition, leaving me to conclude it was processed with it's dent.
ADDITION: The lid handle is a dense piece of metal, it reatains all of it's heat and gets unbearably hot. I can hold it long enough to remove and set down someplace. I will look to replace or modify it.
